Benjamin Moore, a global leader in premium paint, color and coatings, and LUXE Interiors + Design present five exceptional designer and professional painter teams in the fifth annual Faces of Design. Through the selected teams’ collaborative projects, each dynamic pair underscores how impressive interiors emerge at the intersection of creative vision and skilled technical execution.
Meet the 2026 Faces of Design:
- Mallory Robins, Elizabeth Bennett and Jonatan Correa, Kansas City, Missouri
- Tina Ramchandani and Anthony Burns, New York, New York
- Natalie Owens, Victoria Armour and Guillaume Tremblay, Halifax, Nova Scotia
- Christina Kim and Bill Alpaugh, Manasquan, New Jersey
- Jonathan Savage and Kevin Salyer, Nashville, Tennessee
“Great color decisions begin with understanding what a room needs to accomplish,” Michelle Blair, VP National Publisher of LUXE Interiors + Design, says. “These projects show how paint can establish atmosphere, accentuate architecture and connect the elements of an interior, while skilled application brings that vision fully to life.”
Paint color is the first question a designer hears when their work is published, and rightfully so. The perfect white, the bold accent and the unexpected hue that somehow feels inevitable – the right paint color can define a room. So, who better to ask than the designers creating some of today’s most memorable interiors and their go-to professional painters. Here, the Faces of Design class of 2026 share the colors they return to again and again, their best advice for selecting paint, and the expert techniques that make all the difference.
From creating cohesion across walls, trim and cabinetry to using contrast and sheen to emphasize architectural detail, this year’s projects put those lessons into practice with style and skill:
- In Kansas City, Mallory Robins and Elizabeth Bennett of KOBEL + CO joined Jonatan Correa to build Project Garden Party around Benjamin Moore’s Tapestry Gold 2153-30, New London Burgundy HC-61, Saint Martin Sand 2164-50 and a custom shade of blue, layering saturated color and varied sheens across cabinetry, millwork and walls.
- Tina Ramchandani and Anthony Burns used Stone Hearth 984 and Decorator’s White OC-149 to bring subtle definition to the designer’s New York apartment, with Ramchandani noting that “color is the most important thing to me.”
- For a Halifax residence, Natalie Owens and Victoria Armour of Stil James worked with Guillaume Tremblay, pivoting from Swiss Coffee OC-45 to Smokey Taupe 983 in the living room and color-washing the dining room in Blue Gaspe 1435. Owens states that “paint can shift a room from bright and casual to moody, warm and deeply connected to how a family lives there.”
- In New Jersey, Christina Kim and Bill Alpaugh carried Opulence OC-69 across walls, ceilings, trim, cabinetry and whitewashed pine, enlivened the home’s office with Lush AF-475 and finished the front doors in Narragansett Green HC-157. Kim adds, “as a designer, paint tells you where to go, what a room is for and what the mood should be.”
- While in Nashville, Jonathan Savage and Kevin Salyer softened a stately residence while drawing out its architectural splendor with Icicle OC-60.
Across all five projects, the takeaway extends beyond color selection. Professional painters serve as technical experts and creative partners, advising on preparation, product, sheen and application so each designer’s intent is realized with clarity, dimension and durability. The work also illustrates how extending one shade across multiple surfaces can create cohesion, while shifts in color and finish can define individual spaces and highlight architectural features.
“The painting contractor and designer community remains at the heart of our business,” Mindy Murphy, Vice President, Customer Segmentation Marketing at Benjamin Moore shares. “From product and sheen to preparation and application, these teams show how creative vision and technical expertise help color and innovative design achieve its fullest impact.”
Featured nationally in the September/October 2026 issue of LUXE Interiors + Design, Faces of Design will also expand across digital, video and social platforms throughout the LUXE ecosystem.
